About
You could say that printing runs in Kate’s blood; her grandfather ran his own printing business and her fondest childhood memories are of a magical old Heidelberg press and stacks of coloured paper.
“My own journey in design began in the mid 1990s when I became an advertising planner on a newspaper,” she recalls. I went on to become part of the inhouse design team. Later, I joined a design team on a county magazine.”
In 2009, Kate started Early Bird Graphics, specialising in graphic design for digital and print, including logos, posters, flyers, education packs, brochures and more. She has also branched out into illustration, creating large murals for digital print, with a side-line in drawing small British wildlife for greetings cards.
A strong believer in the power of community, she contributes her skills plus buckets of enthusiasm to several local community interest projects.
I have worked with Kate on both commercial and community projects and it’s been a pleasure.
We first worked with Kate on a creative brief to transform the walls of our Waffle Play area and meeting room into an informative and quirky space.
Kate was really great to work with
